{"id":57,"date":"2008-05-05T20:21:32","date_gmt":"2008-05-06T04:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/niasomoves.com\/Rachaelsblog\/?p=57"},"modified":"2008-06-26T17:21:16","modified_gmt":"2008-06-27T01:21:16","slug":"developmental-anatomy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/developmental-anatomy\/","title":{"rendered":"Developmental Anatomy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Blue Belt Day 3<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Blue Belt Principle #4, Developmental Anatomy, is a beautiful practice that takes us through the five developmental movement stages most of us went through as children.\u00a0 It\u2019s a practice of self-healing for the body, the mind, the emotions and the spirit.\u00a0 The classic form of the practice is to do one minute in each stage every day.\u00a0 The stages are: Embryonic, Creeping, Crawling, Standing and Walking.<\/p>\n<p>Developmental Anatomy can also be used as a practice for asking the body for the somatic truth about where one is in relationship to anything.\u00a0 For example, Debbie asked us this afternoon, if the ideal is that every time I get ready to start my class, the first thing I think of is the Joy of Movement and I say to myself, \u201cOh goodie!\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait!\u201d then what is my relationship to that ideal.<\/p>\n<p>We moved in each of the developmental stages and let them tell us which stage we were in in relationship to the Joy of Movement.\u00a0 Then Debbie told us to love the stage we were in.\u00a0 Love it.\u00a0 Love it because this is our foundation from which to develop.\u00a0 Love it because this is where we are the strongest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During my first Blue Belt, I loved this practice of somatic truth telling.\u00a0 It felt natural, easy and illuminating.\u00a0 But today, I wasn\u2019t sure if I was sensing the somatic truth or if my mind was taking charge.\u00a0 I felt awkward, out of touch, stupid.\u00a0 I am still feeling vulnerable and afraid.\u00a0 My critic comes in and tells me I don\u2019t deserve to exist on the face of the planet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It occurs to me I\u2019m probably in embryonic. \u00a0I\u2019m probably embryonic in relationship to the practice of Developmental Anatomy.\u00a0 Embryonic is, by definition, a new place, a place I have never been before.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>I have never been in this relationship with the Developmental Anatomy practice, or with Nia, or with myself, or my body, or the moment, or with Brown Belt, with the road to Black, with my husband, with the path, or with the Mystery.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Can I love it?<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Can I love this new place I\u2019ve never been before?\u00a0 Can I love myself in the unknown?\u00a0 Can I love the unknown?\u00a0 Can I love this never-before-seen bend in the road to Black Belt?\u00a0 Can I love myself no matter what?<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Embryonic.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blue Belt Day 3 Blue Belt Principle #4, Developmental Anatomy, is a beautiful practice that takes us through the five developmental movement stages most of us went through as children.\u00a0 It\u2019s a practice of self-healing for the body, the mind, the emotions and the spirit.\u00a0 The classic form of the practice is to do one [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6,9],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-57","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-blue-belt","category-the-five-stages-of-self-healing"],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/57","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=57"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/57\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=57"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=57"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/synergy-pt.net\/niablog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=57"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
