It’s the eve of heading to Portland to begin my Black Belt training with Debbie and Carlos and 20 plus other Nia Brown Belts from around the country and around the world. \u00a0As I write I feel excited and ready to plunge in. \u00a0<\/p>\n
But until a few hours ago, I’ve been productively procrastinating about getting ready, not wanting to step in to the process — as though I’m somehow not already in it! \u00a0I’ve been scaring myself and distracting myself from the moment with all sorts of stories.<\/p>\n
Why would I rather listen to the insidious voice of an inner Wormtongue than tend to the tasks at hand? \u00a0Than step forward onto the next part of my path as it spirals before me? \u00a0Than smell the moment? \u00a0Than feel my body?<\/p>\n
Because the of the sensation of my heart cracking open. \u00a0Is it breaking? \u00a0Is it blossoming? \u00a0Will I cry?\u00a0\u00a0Am I dying to the moment? \u00a0Will I live? \u00a0Will I make it? \u00a0Will I love and be loved? \u00a0Will I be OK?<\/p>\n
Yes. \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Yes.<\/p>\n
